So, I pretty recently picked up the new Super Smash Bros. game for the 3DS. To start off, I haven’t played much of the SSB games before this one, so I went into this one with different expectations than most. Overall, the game itself is beautiful… the graphics look really good on the tiny screen (unless you have an XL, then it’s a little bit larger screen), the starting character roster gives you a nice pool of characters to choose from, and there some other smaller things that help to keep the game itself interesting.
After having logged countless hours into the game since it’s release it has become a hard game to put down during most of my free time. The more you play the game, the more characters you unlock and the more challenges and other items you unlock, up to a certain point of course. The only problem that I have with the game is some of their choices for playable fighters like Dr. Mario and Duck Hunt, just to name a couple. Still, however, the odd choice in characters isn’t enough to make me quit playing.
Overall, I’d say this game is definitely worth getting if you happen to have a 3DS, and personally I give Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS a 4.5 out of 5.
